If item has more than 1 color and size, you can create color and sizes mapping for each child items.

For example:

"Coke" is a master item, but "Coke" has different color in can or bottle for different taste, and also "Coke" has different size in bottle.

Here you can add these Color and sizes mapping for adding those child items.
